Job summary

Actalent is hiring a team of Registered Pharmacy Technicians for a contract-to-hire role in Pompano Beach, FL. The position supports a fast-paced clinic pharmacy with patient-facing duties and data-entry responsibilities.

Responsibilities include transcription of prescriptions, verifying insurance, and ensuring HIPAA-compliant record keeping, while delivering excellent customer service in a team setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Board-approved pharmacy technician training program completed.
• Valid Florida Pharmacy Technician License.
• At least 1 year of pharmacy technician experience.
• Customer service or data entry experience required.
• Knowledge of medication brand/generic names, dosing, and day-supply calculations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls from patients, caregivers, and providers with high service levels.
• Assist customers with pharmacy-related inquiries and schedule deliveries.
• Transcribe prescriptions accurately into the pharmacy system.
• Verify insurance coverage and assist with prior authorizations as needed.
• Update patient information and maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
• Coordinate initiation of care with patients, caregivers, and providers to ensure seamless service.
• Enter patient data accurately and maintain records in HIPAA-compliant manner.
