Formación

• Associate degree or two-year minimum with medical coding and medical records experience preferred but not required.
• Typing speed of 40 wpm or higher is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and high organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsabilidades

• Code daily clinic visits following CPT and ICD-10 guidelines and communicate discrepancies to staff.
• Review clinic charts for completeness and communicate deficiencies.
• Scan/upload records into electronic health records and manage filing tasks.
• Review and release information per subpoenas and requests, following HIPAA/HITECH laws.
