Job summary

Rosendin, one of the nation’s largest employee-owned electrical contractors, is seeking a Civil & Mechanical On‑Site Superintendent to lead civil and mechanical construction for substation, battery energy storage system (BESS), or large-scale solar projects. You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure safety, manage schedules, QA/QC, and handoffs between disciplines, with travel up to 75% regionally.

This full-time role requires 2+ years of supervisory experience and a proven ability to deliver

Qualifications

• Leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to interpret civil drawings, grading plans, geotechnical reports, structural drawings and specifications.
• Experience managing subcontractors or crews on utility-scale projects.
• Understanding of mass grading, soil stabilization, concrete foundations, and utilities.
• Knowledge of erosion control and stormwater compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic project management tools; scheduling software experience preferred.
• Able to collaborate with project management, engineering, and client representatives.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example enforcing safety programs and site safety plans.
• Oversee all on-site civil construction activities including earthwork, grading, trenching, foundations, roadways, fencing, drainage, utilities.
• Oversee structural/mechanical activities including pile installation, foundations, racking & structure installation.
• Coordinate subcontractors or self-perform crews to meet schedule and budget.
• Participate in pre-construction planning and constructability reviews.
• Maintain daily coordination with project leadership and other discipline leads.
• Monitor progress, logs, and documentation of site activities.
• Ensure environmental and stormwater compliance.
• Coordinate QA/QC materials testing and concrete placement.
• Support material deliveries, equipment mobilization, and field handoffs.
