Job summary

A Civil Construction Company in Chicago seeks a Civil Superintendent to lead on-site crews and align foremen and subcontractors with project goals. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site functions including scheduling, material control, quality checks, and day‑to‑day direction of field personnel, while enforcing safety standards and productive teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Civil Construction with a stable work history.
• Manage foreman, subcontractors and equipment to meet project goals.
• Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings to ensure accurate completion.
• Heavy civil experience including earthwork, underground utilities, grading, excavation, etc.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• The Superintendent will arrange the work and provide on-site leadership to foreman and crews.
