Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an AV/IT Support Technician – Level 1 to join its onsite Technology Support Services team. You will assist faculty, staff, students, and guests with classroom and conference room tech, collaboration platforms, and AV systems, delivering timely, friendly support.

The role requires strong customer service, foundational troubleshooting, and the ability to work onsite full-time across campus locations, with travel as needed. Training and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in IT/Audiovisual/CS or related field.
• 1+ year of customer-facing technical support experience.
• Foundational experience with classroom, conference room, collaboration, AV, or endpoint tech.
• Experience supporting Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 apps and services.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Onsite full-time work and campus travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and service requests with timely, professional assistance.
• Support technology readiness activities and assist users with supported systems.
• Escalate complex issues to Level 2 or designated teams as needed.
• Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the service management platform.
• Maintain operational documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Assist with equipment inventory and technology refresh initiatives.
