Job summary

Girl Scouts of Wisconsin – Badgerland seeks a Camp Ranger to ensure Camp Ehawee is safe, well-maintained, and welcoming for campers, volunteers, and guests. The role reports to the Director of Facilities and may support Camp Brandenburg as needed.

Based at Camp Ehawee, Madison, WI, it requires five 7.5-hour days, a council vehicle, and occasional weekends. Housing is included; summer work is essential for safety during youth camps.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certs preferred.
  • Minimum five years in general property maintenance.
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees maintenance and repair of camp facilities, equipment, and grounds.
  • Performs routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
  • Manage inventory and coordinate seasonal opening/closing.
  • Supervise maintenance staff and contractors; ensure safety standards.
  • Maintain emergency plans and communicate procedures to staff.
  • Assist with budget planning and record-keeping for facilities.
