Job summary

Girl Scouts of West Central Florida is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to keep camp properties safe, well-maintained, and welcoming. You will perform routine to restorative maintenance across two camps, conduct site tours, and ensure inspections and regulatory compliance, while maintaining accurate records and supporting guest experiences.

Ideal candidates have five years of general property maintenance experience, can work four 10-hour days, and motivate volunteers.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years' experience in general property maintenance, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, painting, and grounds upkeep.
  • Availability to work a general schedule of four 10-hour workdays, generally Monday through Thursday, with occasional weekend work required.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate volunteers toward shared goals.
  • Enthusiasm for welcoming members and guests to camp.
  • Strong pride in personal and team achievement.
  • Motivation to advance the Girl Scout mission.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; Spanish language skills a plus.
  • Reliable personal transportation, valid driver's license, safe driving record, and proof of insurance (CDL preferred).
  • Ability to pass a "Fitness to Work" physical evaluation.
  • Physical capability to lift at least 40 pounds, walk, bend, stoop, sit, and work outdoors in varying weather.
