Zippertubing Company is seeking a Design Engineer in Chandler, AZ. The role centers on converting customer needs into innovative products, creating prototypes via CAD (SolidWorks preferred), and transitioning designs to production.

The engineer will work with materials knowledge, drawings, and tooling designs, while supporting engineering documentation for customers and production. The position requires a BS in engineering, 3+ years in design or related fields, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university is required.
• 3+ years engineering design or related experience.
• Proficient in CAD; SolidWorks preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Interface with customers to identify requirements and translate them into custom solutions.
• Provide technical and consultative support to customers.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing to clarify engineered solutions.
• Develop product tooling, fixtures, jigs, and efficiency aids.
• Maintain project completion status for all active projects.
• Create/modify engineering documentation: material specs, drawings, 3D models, procedures, reports.
