Job summary

ABB is seeking a Procurement professional to join their onsite team in North Carolina. You will purchase materials per technical specs, manage delivery schedules and terms, and identify new suppliers in collaboration with the category team.

The role reports to the Procurement Team Lead and operates onsite in Mebane, NC. Responsibilities include initiating POs, negotiating supplier agreements, renewing price lists, and evaluating bids to maximize value while aligning with corporate policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience.
• Minimum 1 year of indirect materials purchasing experience is highly desired.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and purchase orders.
• SAP Ariba experience highly desired.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for reporting, analysis, and data management.
• Experience working within ERP and procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Initiating Purchase Orders in the system according to requisitions and standard procedures; confirm delivery with suppliers and monitor PO requirements.
• Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and renew price lists and terms.
• Recommend frame agreements to management and execute upon approval.
• Analyze and evaluate bids to determine the optimal value.
