Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer (Structures) to lead field inspection efforts on transportation infrastructure projects, including bridges and retaining walls. You will ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and safety standards while coordinating with the Project Manager and site team.

The role requires a PE license or CCM, 15+ years in complex bridge construction, and prior experience as Structures Representative on major bridges.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or closely-related field.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced responsibilities.
• P.E. license or CCM credential required and 15+ years of bridge construction experience.
• Experience as Structures Representative on at least two bridge projects with $20M+ value.
• Caltrans project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee structures construction work and ensure plans/specs are followed.
• Perform detailed field inspections of all falsework elements.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for project activities.
• Provide written progress reports and technical insights to team.
• Lead field inspections and mentor staff; enforce safety rules.
