Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Bilingual Patient Advocate in Washington DC to guide uninsured hospital patients through Medicaid and other financial aid. This full-time, onsite role involves face-to-face outreach, bedside visits, and helping patients identify eligibility and apply for programs.

Work weekdays 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with emphasis on empathy, accuracy, and collaboration with hospital staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, except when required by our client.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Adaptability with changing processes and government programs.
• Experience with state and federal programs.
• Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish and English.
• Proficient Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to assess eligibility.
• Complete applications and follow through until approved.
• Document cases in MPower and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Coordinate with hospital staff, case managers, and government agencies.
• Attend ongoing trainings and stay updated on current programs.
