Responsibilities

• Review applications and determine eligibility for public assistance programs through interactive interviews and fact gathering.
• Verify accuracy of application forms; follow up with applicants to gather missing info as needed.
• Clearly communicate with applicants and recipients, address questions, and advise on benefit options.
• Explain program rules/policies to claimants, representatives, employers, medical providers, and government agencies to gain needed facts.
• Document determinations and deliver excellent customer service.
• Travel to off-site meetings, training, or conferences may be required.
• Attend in-person, 7-week training (required); potential transition to FTE after training.
