Job summary

Garmin is hiring a full-time Aviation Maintenance Instructor 2 at its U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. The role trains maintenance technicians, Garmin dealers, OEMs, fleet customers, and internal teams on Garmin avionics through hands-on instruction and seminars.

The instructor develops content, supports training programs, and travels up to 25% domestically, with potential international travel. Strong avionics knowledge and presentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years related education/experience.
• Internal candidates must have at least 6 months as Aviation Maintenance Instructor 1.
• Must have avionics line maintenance or installation experience.
• Proficient with presentation software (PowerPoint/Keynote/Prezi).
• Strong customer-oriented attitude and broad avionics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Teach Garmin avionics through instructor-led classes, webinars, and seminars.
• Develop content for classroom instruction, seminars, and e-learning.
• Support and develop maintenance training programs and initiatives.
• Travel domestically, possibly internationally up to 25% of time.
• Collaborate to identify internal/external training needs and deliver updates.
• Represent Garmin at industry meetings and coordinate with FAA/EASA.
