Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks an Electronics Engineer to design and qualify avionics hardware for space missions. You will create digital and analog schematics, perform worst‑case analyses, and run simulations using Cadence PSpice and Saber.

You will use Zuken or Siemens Xpedition for schematic capture and EPCAD/Siemens for PCB layout, ensuring signal integrity and flight readiness in a harsh space environment. Collaboration with multiple teams and rigorous documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience or coursework related to design and/or analysis of Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA).

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and qualify avionics hardware for space missions.
• Create digital/analog schematics and run simulations.
• Perform worst-case analyses and FMEA.
• Use Cadence PSpice and Saber; schematic capture with Zuken/Siemens Xpedition; PCB layout with EPCAD/Siemens.
• Layout PCB with EPCAD/Siemens; ensure signal integrity.
• Build prototypes and define test procedures.
• Collaborate with PCB, GNC, FPGA and test equipment teams.
• Produce design assurance packages for reviews.
• Conduct trade studies for architectures balancing performance and risk.
• Manage BOM and prototype build-up while optimizing cost.
