Job summary

Saale(x) is seeking a Media Center Audiovisual Technician in Newport, RI to provide frontline customer service and technical support for multimedia presentation, collaboration, and VTC environments. The technician handles installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of audiovisual systems in conference rooms and collaboration spaces.

Qualifications

1–3 years of audiovisual or video teleconferencing support experience.
Experience installing, operating, and troubleshooting AV systems.
Ability to learn and support multiple AV hardware/software platforms.
Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
Physical ability to lift 40 pounds and work in elevated spaces.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot AV and VTC systems.
Provide technical support for video conferencing platforms (Teams, Cisco, Polycom, Vidyo).
Support audio, video, projections, digital signage, and control systems.
Install cabling, wall plates, mounts, displays, and related infrastructure.
Perform fault isolation and preventive maintenance on AV equipment.
Operate and monitor meeting spaces and prepare facilities for daily use.
Maintain user guides and operational procedures.
