Job summary

Zohorecruit is seeking an experienced AV Onsite Service Technician to join at a customer site in Newport, Rhode Island. This role requires hands-on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of professional audiovisual systems.

You will perform daily startup, diagnostics, and repair of AV equipment, support live events, video conferencing, and occasional small installations. Schedule features four 10-hour shifts with weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on commercial AV installation and maintenance experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair sophisticated AV systems including audio, video, projection and show control.
• Willingness to assist with live events, client training, and small installations.

Responsibilities

Salary: $38–$42/hour, based on experience

Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts per week, with varying days based on team coverage. The schedule will typically include at least one weekend day per week.

Our client, a leading global Audio Visual Systems Integration firm, is seeking an experienced AV Onsite Service Technician to join its team at a customer site in Newport, Rhode Island.

Must have

• Candidates must have a minimum of 2 + years of hands-on commercial AVinstallation and maintenance experience; including troubleshooting, servicing andmaintaining professional audiovisual systems.
  
• You’ll be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair ofsophisticated AV systems, including professional audio, video, projection, show control,interactive technologies and displays.
  
• You’ll also assist with occasional live events,client training, small installations and video conferencing.
  
• The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented AV professional with strong diagnostic andproblem-solving skills who can work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  

Responsibilities

• Perform daily AV system start-ups, operational checks and preventivemaintenance.
  
• Diagnose faults and safely remove, repair, replace, test and restore AVequipment.
  
• Operate and maintain professional audio, video, projection, show control,interactive and display systems.
  
• Troubleshoot electronic hardware, software, signal flow and connectivity issues.
  
• Support occasional live events, video conferencing and client training.
  
• Assist with small AV installations, equipment upgrades and system modifications.
  
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors when necessary.
  
• Follow standard operating procedures, safety requirements and maintenancechecklists.
  
• Maintain accurate service documentation and ensure reliable operation of theclient's AV systems.
  

QualificationsRequired

• Solid Tier 1 AV experience, ideally approaching Tier 2 proficiency.
• Experience operating, diagnosing, repairing and maintaining professional AVsystems.
  
• Knowledge of AV signal flow, cabling, connectivity and system components.
  
• Understanding of AV networking, control systems, DSP and related software.
  
• Strong PC and/or Mac operating system knowledge.
  
• Experience using AV tools, test equipment and technical documentation.
  
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills.
  
• Ability to follow established procedures while responding effectively tounexpected technical issues.
  

Preferred

• Experience with Crestron, Extron, QSC, Biamp, Dante or similar AVtechnologies.
  
• Experience with projection systems, digital signage, show control and live event environments.
  
• Familiarity with video conferencing systems and media servers.
  
• AVIXA certification or willingness to obtain the applicable certification within sixmonths.
