Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an Onsite Maintenance Technician to deliver world-class on-site support for AV systems at customer sites. You will partner with customers, management, Global Helpdesk, and SIG teams to ensure seamless AV experiences and high levels of customer service.

You’ll perform preventative maintenance, install and troubleshoot conferencing equipment, manage onsite documentation, and train end users as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with customers and colleagues
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Advanced computer knowledge on Windows/Mac
• Knowledge of signal flow for audio/video/control
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR
• HS diploma or equivalent
• Willing to work after hours and weekends
• Comfort climbing ladders and lifting equipment
• Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with Logitech, Extron, Crestron systems
• Networking fundamentals for LAN/WAN
• Experience with UC platforms: Teams/Zoom/Webex
• Video/AV equipment setup and testing
• Ability to travel to multiple job sites
• Experience with Cisco videoconferencing codecs and Webex control hub
• Crestron room scheduler setup and provisioning
• Visix signage management
• IT ticketing and AV provisioning
• Testing new conference rooms and large AV systems

Responsibilities

• Setup/breakdown of conference spaces to meet event needs
• Perform preventative maintenance on AV spaces and hardware
• Clean AV equipment (lenses, monitors, fans)
• Document job sites and train end users on AV tech
• Provide timely support for meetings, installs, and video/audio recording
• Collaborate with internal/external teams in a professional manner
• Follow local safety standards for site duties
• Setup, operate, and troubleshoot audio/video systems
• Travel to various job sites as required
• Handle Cisco/Webex/Teams setup and join configurations
• Register to Webex Control Hub and perform provisioning
• Maintain Visix signage players and push updates
• Submit IT tickets for AV/network provisioning
• Test and validate new video conference rooms and large systems
