Job summary

AVI-SPL is seeking an Onsite Maintenance Technician to support customers at client sites with professional AV services. You will set up conference spaces, perform preventative maintenance, and handle routine testing and repair of AV systems.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, tools proficiency, and the ability to train clients on AV tech while representing AVI-SPL with a focus on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and colleagues.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Willingness to work after hours and weekends when required.
• Advanced computer knowledge (Windows/Mac).
• Knowledge of signal flow for audio, video, and control."
• Valid Driver’s License with acceptable MVR.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down conference spaces to meet event needs.
• Perform preventative maintenance on AV spaces and test/repair hardware components.
• Clean AV equipment (cameras, monitors, fans).
• Document job site activities and provide client training on AV technology as needed.
• Provide timely support tasks including meeting support and basic AV component installations.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams in a professional manner.
• Adhere to local safety standards for all site duties.
• Set up, operate and troubleshoot various audio/video systems.
• Travel to various job sites as required.
