Job summary

Actalent is seeking an intermediate-level technician to configure, operate, and troubleshoot automated production equipment at the Akron site. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, maintaining performance, and upholding safety and quality standards.

Candidates should have 2+ years with automated equipment, PLCs (Allen-Bradley/Siemens), HMIs, and blueprints. Robotics experience is a plus; strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting is required.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Associate degree in a technical discipline preferred (Automation, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or similar).
2+ years of experience with automated or industrial equipment preferred.
Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMIs, and control systems required.
Robotics experience preferred.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills required.
Ability to read mechanical and electrical blueprints required.
Knowledge of IPC 620, wire processing, USCAR, and IATF is preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the configuration, setup, operation, and troubleshooting of automated production equipment.
Supports production goals by minimizing downtime and maintaining equipment performance.
Ensures safety and quality standards are met.
