Insight Global is seeking an Automation Engineer for an onsite role in the Dayton, TN area, supporting a highly automated manufacturing facility. You will troubleshoot and optimize PLCs, HMIs, drives, robotics, sensors, and safety circuits to improve equipment reliability and performance.

The position requires 5+ years in a similar manufacturing environment, a Bachelor’s in Engineering/Mechatronics, and willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed.

Formación

• 5+ years in automation/controls in a highly automated manufacturing environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Mechatronics or equivalent technical experience
• Onsite in Dayton, TN with availability for overtime/weekends/shutdowns

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot, repair, program, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, drives, robotics, sensors, actuators, safety circuits, and industrial control networks
• Analyze downtime and recurring failures; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Production, Quality, Engineering, Safety, and IT/OT teams to resolve complex equipment issues
• Support capital projects and equipment upgrades through installation, commissioning, validation, and turnover to plant teams
• Maintain controls documentation, system backups, change management practices, and automation standards
