Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a DevOps Automation Engineer to design, implement, and manage automation that enhances the reliability and scalability of infrastructure and applications. This on-site Augusta, GA role supports CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code, working with Terraform, Ansible, Python, and JavaScript.

The position is contract-to-hire, with a pay range of $60.00–$63.00 per hour. Security clearance requirements include Secret (and eligibility for Top-Secret with SCI).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Must maintain Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for Top-Secret Clearance with SCI.
• Must have Security+ certification.
• At least 1 year of virtualization experience.
• Extensive experience with automation tools including Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and JavaScript.
• Solid CI/CD knowledge and hands-on pipeline management.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements automation solutions using Terraform and Ansible.
• Creates and maintains scripts using Python, JavaScript, and other relevant languages.
• Develops and manages IaC for consistent deployments.
• Implements and maintains CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, tests, and deployments.
• Monitors performance, availability, and security of automated systems.
• Collaborates with development, operations, and security teams to identify automations.
• Provides training and documentation to support adoption of automation technologies.
