Job summary

Fourteen Foods Career Center seeks an Associate General Counsel to provide business and commercial real estate counsel in support of its franchise and corporate operations in the Franklin, TN area.

Based in-office, you will lead real estate transactions, draft and negotiate purchase agreements, support due diligence, manage contracts, and advise leadership on legal issues while collaborating across divisions to drive efficient decision-making.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of licensed legal experience with commercial real estate transactions and general corporate matters.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to establish relationships and articulate complex issues clearly.
• High-level skill in analyzing, negotiating, and drafting legal documents.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail, deadlines, and accountability.
• JD degree and Tennessee bar admission with ongoing CLE.

Responsibilities

• Assist the real estate team with the execution of real estate transactions.
• Negotiate and draft commercial real estate purchase/sale agreements and related documents.
• Support real estate due diligence and closings.
• Examine title and survey clearance.
• Draft, negotiate and manage general business contracts with vendors and consultants.
• Provide legal support to company divisions and leadership.
• Assist with liability insurance claims settlement.
• Interpret documents and advise on legal issues affecting the Companies.
• Provide litigation and claims management support when needed.
• Establish a reputation as approachable, competent, and responsive.
• Take ownership of special projects as assigned.
