GFT is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to join our Construction Services Team in New York, NY, with regular office attendance required. You will support construction management activities, review SOPs and plans, and assist in payments and closeout while coordinating with PMs and inspectors.

The role requires a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, OSHA 10, FE cert (or plan to obtain within a year), and strong communication and software skills (e-Builder, Procore, P6, MS Office).

Competenze

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of one year of experience in construction management on multi-disciplinary public works projects.
• OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification.
• FE certification or ability to obtain within one year.
• Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of e-Builder, Procore, and P6.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans, specs, Change Orders, submittals, and related documentation.

Mansioni

• Read and comprehend SOPs, contract plans, specs, including changes and payment basis.
• Monitor, inspect, and document field activities; prepare Inspector's Reports.
• Maintain a depository for daily Inspector's Reports from all inspectors.
• Track Time & Materials calculations for contractor changes and overtime.
• Track and document Special Inspector activities.
• Track and check applications for payment from outside agencies for Force Account work.
• Utilize e-Builder, Procore, and P6 for project management.
• Prepare meeting agendas and document actions; distribute to stakeholders.
• Prepare and update PowerPoint presentations for stakeholder meetings.
• Assist in verifying monthly Applications for Payment and quantities.
• Assist in finalizing project closeout activities.
• Prepare progress reports including ETC and narrative reports.
