Job summary
GFT is seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer - Roadway to join our Construction Services team in New York. In this full-time, onsite role, you will lead roadway-related transportation projects while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency.
Your responsibilities will involve overseeing construction projects, coordinating inspection teams, and maintaining project documentation. A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and a PE license are preferred, along with at least 8 years in construction management.
The salary range is $120,000 - $140,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant construction inspection and management experience.
- Familiar with NYSDOT, NYSTA, MTA projects.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality assurance support and technical guidance to inspection staff.
- Assist with the review of monthly pay estimates submitted by contractors.
- Coordinate and oversee field testing activities.
