Job summary

GFT is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer to join our Construction Services Team in New York, NY to support construction management on multi-disciplinary public works projects. You will work under the Project Manager and perform technical tasks to advance the project, including field and office duties.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering, at least 1 year in construction management, OSHA 10, FE certification or plan to obtain within 1 year, and proficiency in e-Builder, Procore,

Qualifications

• Must have a BS in Civil Engineering and strong communication skills.
• Experience in construction management office support is preferred.
• Understanding of SOPs, plans, specs, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Read SOPs, plans, specs, and payment basis with accuracy.
• Inspect field activities, prepare daily inspector reports and sketches.
• Maintain daily inspector report depository for project staff.
• Assist in reviewing applications for payment and project closeout.
