Job summary

CW Resources in Columbia, SC seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support daily commercial landscaping operations in the field, assist Project Managers and Crew Leaders, and help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to CW's high standards.

This hands-on role is field-focused and requires spending most of your time on-site, learning the full project lifecycle while actively supporting crews and contributing to successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certificate.
• 2–3 years experience in commercial landscaping, grounds management, or landscape construction.
• 1+ years of landscaping crew lead experience.
• Basic understanding of horticulture, turf care, irrigation systems, and landscape construction techniques.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and landscape-specific safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Support daily commercial landscaping operations and assist Project Managers and Crew Leaders.
• Assist with scheduling, material tracking, and daily progress documentation while remaining in the field.
• Participate in routine inspections to verify quality and contract compliance; communicate findings to the Project Manager.
• Help operate, maintain, and troubleshoot landscaping equipment to ensure safe use.
• Enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe job site and support urgent site needs as required.
