Job summary

CW Resources, Inc. is seeking a motivated Assistant Project Manager to support daily commercial landscaping operations on-site at the Newport Naval Station in Rhode Island.

This hands-on role partners with Project Managers and Crew Leaders to ensure safe, efficient completion of projects while learning the full lifecycle in the field. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in landscaping, 1+ years as a crew lead, and a solid grasp of horticulture, turf care, and irrigation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical certificate required.
• 2–3 years of experience in commercial landscaping, grounds management, or landscape construction.
• 1+ years of landscaping crew lead experience.
• Basic understanding of horticulture, turf care, irrigation systems, and landscape construction techniques.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and landscape-specific safety practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Excel).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain and maintain access to restricted or government properties.

Responsibilities

• Support daily commercial landscaping operations in the field.
• Assist Project Managers and Crew Leaders to ensure safe, efficient project delivery.
• Learn full project lifecycle on-site while supporting crews.
• Assist with scheduling, material tracking, and daily progress documentation.
• Participate in routine inspections to verify quality and contract compliance.
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot landscaping equipment.
• Enforce safety protocols and PPE requirements on site.
• Respond to urgent site needs to protect client property and continuity of service.
