Job summary

Bowie State University is seeking an Assistant Bursar to help oversee Student Financials systems, processes, and data integrity. The role supports timely invoicing, reconciliations, and customer service for the Office of Student Accounts.

With 1–3 years in Student Finance and at least 2 years of PeopleSoft experience, you will collaborate across departments, assist with collections, and uphold policy compliance. This onsite role includes benefits coverage and professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Computer/Business Systems, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience, preferably in Student Finance or Accounts Receivable.
• 2+ years of experience using PeopleSoft or similar ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Assist with maintenance and development of Student Financials systems and processes.
• Process student invoicing, reconcile accounts, and ensure data integrity.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve issues per policy.
• Oversee collections with CCU and third-party invoicing.
• Support cross-department collaboration to apply charges and payments timely.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Computer/Business Systems, or a related discipline.
