You will supervise staff, ensure accurate processing of student financial transactions, and act as a backup for key payment operations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, 1 year AR experience, 2 years accounting experience, and proficiency with PeopleSoft.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline.
• One year of experience in accounts receivable.
• Two years of experience in accounting or related field.
• One year of experience using PeopleSoft or similar ERP system.
• Good analytical skills.
• Proficient using MS Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of internal control procedures.

Aufgaben

• Assist with supervising staff and overseeing day-to-day office operations.
• Assist with training staff in the Office of Student Accounts and the University Central Cashiers.
• Reconcile, research, and resolve cashier payment issues with various university departments.
• Respond to audit inquiries as an office liaison.
• Assist with processing student refunds promptly.
• Process and reissue Parent Plus Loan and student refund returns.
• Help manage the university credit card and electronic payment system (TouchNet).
• Oversee management of the Student Accounts Office email inbox and virtual appointment schedule.
• Investigate and resolve challenging student account issues.
• Assist with processing student 1098-T tax documents.
• Assist with managing the PeopleSoft Student Accounts system.
• Serve as backup to research and post electronic payments from the State Treasurer’s Office.
• Serve as backup to research and return third-party scholarships payments (refunds).
• Serve as a requester for all Workday entries for invoices, requisitions, spend authorizations, etc.
• Oversee submission of accounts to the Central Collection Unit (CCU) of Maryland and coordinate with debtors.
• Report CCU in-person payments, adjustments, and debt cancellations
• Act as a witness in CCU litigation and provide supporting docs.
• Other duties as assigned.
