Job summary

MANTECH is seeking an Applied AI Engineer in Doral, FL to design, build, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning solutions. The role focuses on orchestrating AI/ML pipelines and delivering model capabilities that address operational challenges onsite.

The engineer will design, develop, and deploy models, integrate data streams, and automate training across mission networks, collaborating with data architects and stakeholders to set architecture standards and deployment baselines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years in analytics or data science.
• Alternative education paths include: Master’s with 3+ years; PhD with 1+ year; Associate’s with 7+ years; or HS diploma with 9+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience developing and deploying ML models using PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Strong software development background, including Python and C++.
• Experience with cloud architectures, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and MLOps deployment pipelines.
• Ability to create, maintain, and communicate complex AI system architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI/ML models to address operational challenges.
• Orchestrate AI/ML pipelines by integrating data streams and automating training/evaluation workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define AI architecture standards and integration baselines.
• Evaluate model performance, tune and optimize across cloud, on‑premise, and edge environments.
• Maintain technical baseline configurations and engineering documentation for AI systems.
• Assess emerging AI frameworks and tooling and recommend process improvements.
