Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. is hiring an AI Data Engineer for its Federal Engineering team to scope and develop onsite solutions for government customers. The role focuses on building high-performance data pipelines, integrating data with Scale’s platform, and deploying software at customer sites.

The candidate will collaborate across teams, develop features, and ensure customer success while requiring a Secret clearance and willingness to pursue TS/SCI clearance. Domestic onsite work in St. Louis is common.

Qualifications

• Experience building data pipelines and data warehousing.
• Hybrid customer-facing engineer experience and adaptability to multiple roles.
• Proficient in Python development.
• Familiar with cloud-native environments, containers, and orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Be open to >50% onsite work in a secured space.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute data pipelines and agents vision.
• Implement end-to-end data integrations, syncing customer data to Scale’s platform and back.
• Deploy and maintain Scale software at customer sites.
• Develop customer-requested features and work with customers to drive success.
• Build robust backend systems that can serve as standalone products for customers.
• Participate in customer engagements with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Role requires active Secret clearance and willingness to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
