Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, seeks an Academic Program Specialist to support multiple research laboratories and investigators. You will coordinate laboratory operations, purchasing, equipment management, regulatory compliance, and student supervision to keep innovative research moving forward.

This is a full-time onsite role (80–100%). The starting salary is $44,000 annually and negotiable based on experience; benefits include

Qualifications

• Previous wet lab experience.
• Experience in laboratory operations and management.
• Experience providing administrative support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates program components and evaluates effectiveness, recommending improvements.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of academic programs and resolves issues to meet goals.
• Uses independent judgement for developing and evaluating programs and events.
• Identifies program needs and coordinates workflows, logistics, and resources for events.
