Stride, Inc. is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a fully virtual role with Florida residency requirements. The position supports the Florida Cyber Charter Academy (FLCCA) and delivers state-mandated services in an online setting.

You will develop and monitor IEPs, collaborate with families and staff, and provide engaging, data-driven instruction. The role requires 40+ hours weekly and a professional home office with flexible scheduling within the school day.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Active Florida teaching license.
• Ability to clear required background check.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all special education services per IEP are provided.
• Communicate with parents and related staff about student needs.
• Develop compliant IEPs, progress reports and required documentation.
• Lead collaborative special education meetings and parent conferences.
• Provide accommodations and modifications per IEP using available resources.
• Modify Stride K12 lessons and assessments per IEP requirements.
• Ensure student inclusion in general education settings.
• Collect data and monitor progress toward IEP goals.
• Document all parent contacts and student interventions.
• Analyze data to tailor remediation and enrichment as needed.
• Deliver engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
• Personalize learning to meet each student’s needs.
• Maintain grade books and monitor performance and progression.
• Prepare students for high-stakes assessments.
• Communicate with families and learning coaches in a timely manner.
• Travel up to 20% for development and testing as required.
