Job summary

Stride K12 seeks an online Full-Time Permanent Substitute Special Education Teacher. The role delivers content in a virtual setting, supports and guides students, and manages learning around each IEP.

You will obtain licensure across multiple states and teach across several schools with rotating assignments. This position requires state certification, the ability to work in a home office, and a typical schedule of 40+ hours weekly, in a time zone consistent with school operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for eligibility.
• Active State Special Education teaching license required.
• Ability to clear required background check.

Responsibilities

• Make modifications and accommodations to Stride K12 lessons and assessments as specified by the IEP.
• Ensure inclusion and success of student in the general education classroom.
• Collect data and work samples to monitor student progress towards IEP goals and objectives.
• Document all contact with parents and interventions with students.
• Analyze student data to prescribe remediation and enrichment as needed.
• Provide rich and engaging synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences for students.
• Commitment to personalizing learning for all students.
• Demonstrate a belief in all students' ability to succeed and meet high expectations.
• Maintain grade book ensuring student academic integrity and reporting concerns to administrators.
• Prepare students for high stakes standardized tests.
• Communicate with families regularly and collaborate with learning coaches/parents in a timely manner.
• Support learning coaches/parents with instructional issues and virtual classroom troubleshooting.
