Job summary

Columbus City Schools seeks an elementary Support Center Teacher-Tier 2 to provide intensive social-emotional and behavioral supports to students in the online Tier 2 program. You will collaborate with families and district partners to develop individualized supports and monitor progress using data.

The role emphasizes creating a structured, relationship-centered virtual learning environment and preparing students for successful reintegration to their home school.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Ohio teaching license with appropriate grade-level licensure and endorsements for assignment.
• One year of experience supporting students with behavioral or social-emotional needs in virtual/tech-rich environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver daily virtual instruction focused on SEL and restorative practices.
• Develop individualized behavioral support plans aligned to MTSS/RTI.
• Teach self-regulation, emotional awareness, and problem-solving.
• Use restorative practices to repair relationships and reintegrate students.
• Monitor progress using behavioral/engagement/SEL data to inform decisions.
• Collaborate with families, counselors, social workers, and schools to coordinate supports.
• Create a positive online classroom culture and manage changing rosters.
• Provide tech support for students and families as needed.
• Document student progress and interventions in a timely manner.
• Participate in district initiatives and professional learning.
