Job summary

Athol Community Elementary School in Athol, MA is seeking a Social Emotional Learning Teacher to deliver SEL instruction to grades K-4. The role focuses on foundational SEL skills per CASEL, Zones of Regulation, and other programs, rotating through classrooms weekly using district curricula.

The successful candidate will build positive relationships, collaborate with colleagues, and engage in ongoing district professional development. This SEL-only position does not include counseling duties.

Qualifications

• CORI and fingerprinting requirements must be met.
• Licensure as a school counselor or elementary (1-6) teacher is strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach SEL skills to students in grades K-4 using district curricula.
• Rotate through classrooms weekly to deliver grade-appropriate units.
• Build positive relationships and collaborate with colleagues.
