Job summary

Herzing University seeks a Manager, Faculty Operations to coordinate and enhance faculty services for the Online MSN-Direct Entry program. You will support scheduling, onboarding, and resource access, ensuring effective teaching and learning environments and compliant operations.

The role reports to the Program Chair and requires a Doctorate in Nursing with 3 years of higher education faculty experience; online teaching and faculty management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Nursing is required.
• 3 years of experience as a faculty member at an institution of higher education.
• Online teaching experience preferred.
• Experience with faculty management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate faculty teaching schedules, classroom assignments, and coverage for absences.
• Assist with faculty onboarding, orientation, and training logistics.
• Provide guidance to faculty on the use of institutional technology and resources.
• Assist faculty in accessing instructional materials, technology support, and student information systems.
• Conduct classroom observation process in alignment with university SOPs.
• Ensure pre-term and end-of-term course activities are completed in conjunction with university SOPs.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and inclusive environment among faculty.
• Monitor the development and fulfillment of faculty development plans and the completion of aligned development activities.
• Ensure faculty complete all required development and training.
• Collaborate with Faculty Development Specialists (FDSs) to coach and develop faculty instructional strategies.
• Provide support to assigned faculty meetings, workshops, and development/training activities.
• Support the Department Chair or Program Chair in preparing materials for accreditation, regulatory, or advisory board meetings.
• Monitor faculty compliance with institutional policies and deadlines.
• Track faculty engagement/participation in course collaboration, faculty assembly, and department meetings.
