Job summary

The Family Institute at Northwestern University invites applications for Affiliate Teaching Faculty to deliver online Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy courses. You will teach sections quarterly, integrating systemic theory and DEI into the curriculum while coordinating with a Course Lead.

Applicants should hold an advanced degree in MFT (PhD preferred), have graduate teaching experience, and hold active clinical licensure or be able to obtain it.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related discipline; PhD preferred.
• Two or more years of graduate teaching experience or supervision.
• Active clinical licensure in home state, or ability to gain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality synchronous instruction for online master's level MFT courses.
• Infuse integrative systemic theory and DEI into course material and discussions.
• Deliver live sessions with small groups (≤15) for 90 minutes weekly.
• Adhere to syllabus, LMS guidelines, and course leads’ instructions.
• Grade and provide timely feedback within two weeks; respond to inquiries within 48 hours.
