Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks a Mathematics Content Coach to support teachers from grades 3–10 with standards-aligned curriculum and pacing. This online role involves collaboration with instructional staff to monitor and adjust pacing, mastery, and instructional priorities across the school year.

The candidate should have a strong background in mathematics education, experience with curriculum maps, and the ability to analyze data to drive instructional decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education.
• Five or more years of experience in education with demonstrated experience or expertise in mathematics.
• Strong knowledge of mathematics standards, curriculum, pacing, and assessment across grades 3–10.
• Experience developing, implementing, or monitoring curriculum maps and pacing guides.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support mathematics teachers in grades 3–10 with implementation of standards-aligned curriculum, pacing guides, and instructional resources.
• Monitor pacing throughout the school year to ensure priority standards and required mathematical content are taught within established instructional timelines.
• Track which standards have been introduced, taught, assessed, mastered, and still require instruction or reinforcement.
• Assist teachers in unpacking mathematics standards and understanding concepts, skills, and rigor levels.
• Review curriculum maps, pacing guides, lesson plans, and instructional resources for alignment with standards.
• Analyze student achievement data to identify strengths and gaps and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with teachers to adjust pacing and priorities based on student performance.
