Job summary

Utah State University Library seeks an Online Learning Support Coordinator to develop and maintain the library's online learning resources and services. This role focuses on ensuring digital materials, including Canvas modules, tutorials, guides, FAQs, and video content, are current, accessible, and aligned with student needs.

Reporting to the Head of User Experience & Engagement, this full-time benefited position includes virtual reference via chat, collaboration across the library to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; or four years of library experience.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, faculty, and community.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize work, meet deadlines, and manage competing responsibilities.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and judgment skills.
• Demonstrated ability and interest in learning and using new technology, including online learning platforms and software.

Responsibilities

• Support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the library's online learning resources, including Canvas modules, tutorials, research guides, FAQs, and video content.
• Review online content to ensure accuracy, consistency, usability, and alignment with library and campus priorities; identify outdated or redundant content and coordinate updates with liaison librarians and other content owners.
• Support the accessibility of online learning resources and library content, helping ensure materials meet accessibility standards and provide an inclusive experience for all users.
• Contribute to usability, content strategy, and program assessment, using user feedback, analytics, assessment data, and best practices to improve online library resources and virtual services.
• Develop, maintain, and assess frequently asked questions and other self-service resources to help users find answers and navigate library services independently.
• Provide virtual reference assistance through the library's chat program.
• Develop and support training resources and opportunities that help library staff effectively create, maintain, and improve online learning resources and services.
• Participate in other library initiatives and projects that advance User Experience & Engagement priorities.
