Job summary

West Virginia Northern Community College is seeking an Instructional Designer Exempt to provide instructional design support for faculty in developing online and traditional courses. The role guides curriculum in modular formats and integrates instructional technology across technical and workforce programs.

You will design and deliver employee development opportunities, manage LMS activities, and lead quality assurance efforts including QM coordination while collaborating with Academic Affairs

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required; Master’s in Educational Technology or related field preferred.
• Post-secondary teaching experience required.
• Experience with instructional design theory, online course development, and evaluation.
• Experience with LMS platforms, preferably D2L Brightspace.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of online and face-to-face courses.
• Apply instructional design theory and pedagogy to improve courses.
• Provide LMS development, conversions, accessibility, and consistency.
• Deliver employee development workshops and training.
• Ensure quality design standards and participate in QM coordination.
