ACCEL Schools LLC is seeking an Intervention Specialist for our OHDELA online program. You will support students with IEP goals, collaborate with teachers, and implement behavioral plans in a virtual setting with periodic in-person state testing and events.

The role calls for knowledge of state standards, experience in inclusive/co-teaching models, and strong communication skills. Occasional travel for testing and events is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room
• Comfort with growth-focused coaching and frequent observations
• High quality written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
• Excellent organization and time management
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred

Responsabilités

• Work cooperatively with classroom teachers, interpreting abilities and disabilities and supporting intervention strategies
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction
• Conduct functional behavior assessments
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives
• Meet goals related to student achievement and school culture
• Use best-practice planning and instruction methods
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons and interactions
• Serve as advisor for a designated set of students
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social-emotional growth
• Participate in planning and implementing non-instructional activities
• Perform other duties as assigned
