ACCEL Schools LLC is seeking an Intervention Specialist to support online K-12 education through a rigorous, nurturing virtual classroom. The role emphasizes student learning, social-emotional growth, and collaboration with classroom teachers to tailor interventions for students with IEPs.

Travel for in-person state testing and student events is required several times per year. Eligible candidates reside in Ohio and will join a nationwide online school network supporting diverse communities.

Formación

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core standards.
• Experience with inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting (preferred).

Responsabilidades

• Interpret abilities and disabilities to support intervention strategies.
• Modify general education curriculum as needed in collaboration with teachers.
• Conduct diagnostic and functional behavior assessments.
• Write and implement behavior improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress.
• Support planning of non-instructional activities and events.
• Provide advisory support for a caseload of students.
