Job summary

The Scottsdale Unified School District is seeking a Teacher for 9–12 Math to deliver high-quality virtual instruction in an Online / eLearning Lab while providing on-site supervision and guidance in a blended environment. The role combines synchronous and asynchronous teaching with mentoring and academic support.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, developing schemes of work, setting objectives, using technology to enhance learning, and monitoring student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Single subject teaching credential for the subject.
• State certification to teach in the district/state.
• SEI Endorsement required.
• Relevant teaching experience in a similar setting.
• Knowledge of educational technology and online learning tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences.
• Develop schemes of work and lesson plans.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
• Use relevant technology to support instruction.
• Observe and evaluate students’ performance and development.
• Assign and grade class work, homework, tests and assignments.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom and maintain discipline.
• Perform pastoral duties and provide student encouragement.
• Participate in extracurricular activities and parent meetings.
