Job summary

Peoria Unified School District seeks an Online Certified Teacher for its eCampus to deliver instruction in a virtual environment. The role supports Fall, Spring, and Summer terms and requires maintaining alignment with standards and engaging remote learners.

The teacher will coordinate with eCampus Administration, ensure compliance with IEP/504 requirements, and communicate with students and parents. A current AZ teaching certificate and Moodle proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current teaching certificate issued by the Arizona State Department of Education.
• Highly qualified in the course subject area.
• Experience teaching the course in a face-to-face environment.
• Experience with Moodle or comparable technology.

Responsibilities

• Instructs assigned online classes.
• Maintains course alignment with common core and best online practices.
• Modifies a program of study to meet individual student needs.
• Maintains a positive online learning environment.
• Communicates with students and parents with written/electronic evidence.
• Upholds district policies and online behavior standards.
• Guides learning toward district curriculum goals.
• Assesses student progress and provides reports as required.
• Maintains required records by law and policy.
• Supports administration in policy/discipline enforcement.
• Offers education-related accessibility outside regular hours as needed.
• Attends staff meetings and training sessions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
