Qualifications

• Valid Standard Professional Arizona Teaching Certificate with appropriate middle school mathematics endorsement.
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Teaching experience at the middle school level in a virtual or in-person setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship‑building skills with students, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, standards-aligned math instruction through virtual sessions, small groups, and one-on-one check-ins; adapt pacing and strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of middle school students.
• Monitor student progress, attendance, academic integrity, and engagement – using data to make informed instructional decisions and provide timely, meaningful feedback.
• Develop and implement individualized learning goals, differentiate instruction for diverse learners, and design and grade assessments that measure mathematical understanding and prepare students for standardized testing.
• Partner with academic student success coaches, school counselors, administrators, instructional coaches and families to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of every student.
• Use online learning platforms, student information systems, and communication tools to manage instruction, documentation, family outreach, and professional collaboration.
• This position requires availability to work core business hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Arizona time, Monday through Friday.
• Must be available to work in person for approximately six weeks each year to support Arizona state testing, including travel to assigned testing locations.
