Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in the United States is seeking an Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk / In-Store Grocery Shopper to select and gather products for customers' online orders with attention to freshness and quality.

You will process orders, handle substitutions, and assist customers at pickup while following safety procedures and working in a fast-paced environment. This role emphasizes accuracy, customer service, and teamwork across the e-Commerce and store teams.

Responsibilities

• Select and gather products for customers' online orders efficiently.
• Initiate and complete the selection process for online orders.
• Assemble orders, process coupons and payment, and load orders for pickup.
• Scan and bag items following bagging standards.
• Communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pickup.
• Meet/exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, freshness, and cleanliness.
• Adhere to laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
• Receive orders from Order Selector and store items at proper temperatures.
• Ensure order accuracy and load into customers’ cars for pickup.
• Provide a positive customer service experience to encourage repeat online shopping.
• Process orders through the POS system.
• Follow substitutions policy for out-of-stock items.
• Maintain staging areas and cleanliness of equipment.
• Report discrepancies and issues to the supervisor.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in training new e-Commerce team members.
• Meet/exceed productivity standards.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed.
