Job summary

ShopRite of Shelton is seeking an Online Shopping Clerk (Grade A) to deliver a great customer experience by taking online orders, selecting items, bagging, and coordinating curbside or in-store pickup with accuracy and courtesy.

You will process payments, maintain product knowledge, handle perishable items, and work as part of the Online Shopping team to ensure timely, friendly service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Basic math proficiency.
• Stand/walk for entire shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Work with fresh, dried and/or processed products and spices.
• Tolerance to dust/chemicals during duties.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Adhere to time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Select and identify products from various departments.
• Know how to pick top quality perishable items.
• Substitute comparable items when out of stock; communicate with customers.
• Accurately select and organize customer items.
• Bag orders safely; prepare totes for pickup or delivery.
• Process all payments and provide proper change.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow QA standards.
• Provide courteous customer service and promote promotions.
• Maintain punctual and regular attendance; work overtime as needed.
