Job summary

Cosmo is seeking experienced tutors to provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for ESL students. The role offers a flexible schedule, primarily between 5-9 AM EST Monday through Friday. Tutors will engage with students using Cosmo-provided learning plans and materials, creating a welcoming learning environment.

The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and have at least 3 years of teaching experience in K-12 ELA or ESL. A TEFL certificate is preferred, and the position is independent contractor-based, offering a base rate of $20 USD plus bonuses.

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience teaching grades K-12 ELA, ESL, or EFL.
• Experience with K-12 ELA standards.
• TEFL certificate preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1-on-1 instruction for your students.
• Update your availability in the Cosmo App in a timely manner.
• Prepare appropriate lesson materials for the student’s age and ability.
• Submit Class Feedback after each lesson.
• Communicate with parents and students in a professional manner.
• Attend all classes on time and in a professional setting.
• Communicate with Cosmo staff.
