Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks a licensed K-12 teacher to lead online instruction for the Virtual Preparatory Academy of Arizona. The role includes delivering live lessons, organizing course setup in the LMS, and providing daily feedback while supporting student achievement.

Travel for state testing and student events is required several times per year, and collaboration with the Principal to report progress is essential. Arizona residency is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active state teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• SEI endorsement required.
• Knowledge of Arizona State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in a growth-focused coaching environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the teacher of record and primary instructor.
• Meet goals related to student achievement and culture.
• Deliver live lessons via web conference based on student needs.
• Complete course setup in the LMS and monitor progress.
• Provide daily feedback and grades for asynchronous courses.
• Maintain regular contact with students and families.
• Prepare Progress Reports with Principal and adjust instruction based on data.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Create a joyful, caring classroom environment and integrate culturally responsive practices.
• Participate in non-instructional activities and attend events in person as required.
